Today, explore Changbai Mountain Scenic Area. Known as one of China's top ten famous mountains and the sacred birthplace of the Manchu people, Changbai Mountain is a dormant volcano with stunning geological landscapes and the source of three major rivers.

Visit Tianchi — the legendary Heavenly Lake — nestled among 16 peaks. Its crystal-clear waters reflect sky and mountains in perfect harmony, and its mystery lies in having no inlet yet flowing continuously for millennia. Taste the famous hot spring-boiled eggs by the lake.

Continue to the Changbai Waterfalls, a dramatic 60-meter cascade that is the source of the Songhua River. Also visit the Julong Hot Spring Cluster, Small Tianchi, and Medicine King Valley.

Later, visit the Korean Folk Village to experience authentic Korean folk culture. Make kimchi and rice cakes (dagao), try on traditional Korean costumes (hanbok), and explore the folk museum and traditional Korean homes.

Travel to Harbin by coach. Upon arrival, begin your exploration of this charming northern city.

Start at Saint Sophia Cathedral Square, Harbin’s iconic landmark featuring its striking green onion-shaped dome. This magnificent Byzantine-style building is one of the city’s finest examples of exotic architecture and a beloved symbol of Harbin.

Continue with a stroll along Central Street, a remarkable architectural corridor lined with 71 European-style buildings showcasing Renaissance, Baroque, and eclectic influences, including 13 protected heritage buildings.

Visit the Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo — the former palace of Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty and the puppet emperor of Manchukuo. Visit the Shenyang Palace Museum, the Manchu imperial palace built before the Qing Dynasty entered Beijing. With its yellow-glazed tile roofs shining in the sunlight, it is China’s second most complete imperial palace after the Forbidden City in Beijing — a living witness to the rise and development of the Manchu empire.
